It's deep lid contains odors but is not airtight so to avoid moisture build-up and mold growth. It's wide spout helps while emptying and prevents liquids from spilling out the sides. Made of ceramic, it won't stain, oxidize, or decompose. Remove the rope handle and it's dishwasher safe for effortless cleaning! Composting is a great way to recycle organic waste from cooking into convenient homemade fertilizer!
